AI job search agent: how an AI finds tech jobs for you
About 100 new tech internships and 57 new grad roles appear every day, and many close within weeks. What an AI agent that searches on your behalf does about it.

The short answer
An AI job search agent watches job sources for you, keeps the roles that fit what you want, and gets each application ready, so you do not miss postings that open and close between your own searches. That matters because tech jobs move fast. In October 2026, the trackers behind Arial's job board added about 100 new tech internships and 57 new grad roles every day, from more than 700 companies each. Many close within weeks: of the new grad roles added in the week of October 19, 36 percent were already marked closed by October 30, and of those added in the week of September 7, 68 percent. Checking once a week means seeing each week's roles days late. An agent that checks continuously sees them within hours: the tracker behind Arial's board listed Greenhouse postings a median of about two hours after the employer published them.
Looking for a tech job used to mean searching a few sites every few days. The number of postings, and how fast they close, has made that a losing routine. Here is what the data says about the pace of tech hiring, and what an AI agent that searches on your behalf actually does about it.
What we measured
We used the October 30, 2026 files of the SimplifyJobs internship and new grad trackers, the feed behind Arial's job board, which record when each posting was added and whether it is still open. We counted postings added each week from September 7 to October 25 and how many were marked closed by October 30. For postings that apply through Greenhouse, we also compared the time the employer first published the job with the time the tracker added it. Hundreds of new roles arrive every week, and each week's batch starts closing right away. New grad roles close faster than internships: more than a third of the new grad roles added in the week of October 19 were already closed by October 30. A weekly search habit sees most roles late, and some not at all. What an AI job search agent does
- Watches the sources. Postings live on the career sites of nearly 2,000 companies; an agent reads a feed that tracks them, so new roles reach you within hours instead of whenever you next search.
- Filters to what fits. It keeps roles in your field and places, and flags the eligibility lines that rule you out, such as graduation dates, citizenship, or sponsorship.
- Prepares the application. It reads the employer's form and drafts your answers from what you have already told it, so applying takes minutes.
- Leaves the decisions to you. You choose which roles to pursue and review every answer before the employer sees it.

Speed is the advantage
For postings that apply through Greenhouse and were published after September 1, 2026, the tracker behind Arial's board added the job a median of 2.2 hours after the employer first published it, and 92 percent within a day. An agent reading that feed sees a role the same day it goes up. Applying early matters most for the roles that close fastest, and from the table above, that is most of them. How Arial works as your job agent
Arial's job board pulls new tech internships and new grad roles from the SimplifyJobs trackers about every two hours. When you sign up, your answers set your first filters: internship or full-time, and the city if you name one. You narrow the board further by field, term, place, and remote. Pick a role and choose Prepare my application: the agent reads the employer's form on Greenhouse, Ashby, and Lever and drafts each answer from your resume and profile, or drafts the questions most forms ask for jobs on other systems, and leaves the ones only you can answer. You review each answer, apply on the employer's site, and track the application in Arial.
The tech job market posts about 150 new internship and new grad roles a day and closes them almost as fast. An agent does not make you a better candidate, but it makes sure you are one of the early ones, every time.
